I called to have my dryer repaired. During the repair the tech and I noticed there was a major lint build up within the housing of my dryer. The tech went to van to get a vacuum to clean out the lint, however his vacuums filter was not working and spit lint and dust all over my kitchen counters. I told him to stop as he didn’t even notice. He then proceeded to put my dryer back together and tell me that the build up was probably due to a clogged dryer vent exhaust. He informed me that I should get it cleaned. My issue is that dryer vent companies do not clean those parts of the dryer so getting the vents cleaned will stop the build up from happening again but will not clean the lint that is currently in there and already shows signs of burning. If cleaning the dryer is not something dan Marc company does, the least you can do is inform your customers to have a FUNCTIONING vacuum ready so that “we the customer” can clean the inside of the dryer while the professional has it open. This way I don’t have to have a potential fire hazard in my home simply because I didn’t know that I had lint build up in my dryer, and that Dan Marc is not willing to clean it out. Now I’m being told to breakdown my dryer my self just to keep my family safe. If I thought I could do that I would have never needed a repair man in the first place. And as a side note please inform your techs that when they are disassembling dirty dryers to not put the parts on peoples kitchen counters.
