The Important Tool Left In The Toolkit

First of all, the job was done...timely and professional work and that is obviously important. However, the service tech demonstrated his masked irritation with me (albeit calmly) by telling me twice that I had started the process of getting the repair the wrong way. "You should have called Lowes....you should have called Whirlpool." Now maybe that is true even though the dishwasher was still under warranty AND everything to make this service request was clearly and easily set up through Whirlpool's website. Though I tried to explain this it did not matter and I bit my tongue and let him tell me that I had done something wrong. I can only assume it is more work for someone to arrange for compensation, but I don't know. It was/is not a huge problem... he determined the mechanical issue and was back four days later and promptly fixed it, but it is THE kind of thing that makes an otherwise perfect experience below average. Even IF I had made arrangements in the wrong way & the business is going to his company, courtesy or gratitude should have been pulled out of the tool kit... but I would have been happy if rude wasn't. Its not like it was super rude...just tactless enough to demonstrate that he did not care about passing his irritation on to me.
